Overview
Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) is a fully integrated design‑and‑build business that combines the design expertise of Mott MacDonald with the contracting experience of JN Bentley. We recently secured our first-ever South West Water framework in November 2023, a multi‑million‑pound AMP8 contract that runs until 2029, with a potential extension. As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will work primarily in the UK water market, contributing to the design, construction, and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and review electrical engineering designs for water treatment equipment on client sites, including Motor Control Centres, LV distribution systems, cabling, control philosophies, instrumentation, industrial networks, PLCs and SCADA.
* Produce and review technical specifications and schedules for procurement activities, and evaluate supplier tender bids and technical submissions.
* Supervise and mentor graduates and other engineers, supporting their development.
* Apply and contribute to design standards, maintaining a strong knowledge of client and WIMES standards.
* Engage positively with clients, building relationships and supporting them to achieve their objectives.
Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* Chartered or incorporated member of a professional institution (e.g. IET) or equivalent experience.
* Experience in water or wastewater treatment is desirable.
* Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the operational region.
