About the Role
Connex Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Bootle area to recruit an experienced and dedicated Reception Teacher for a maternity cover position starting in May .
This is a full-time role based in Reception, offering scale pay from day one within a supportive and well-resourced Early Years setting. The school is looking for a teacher who is passionate about early years education and confident delivering the EYFS curriculum, helping children develop strong foundations for their learning journey.
The Ideal Candidate Will
1. Have at least 1 year of recent experience teaching in a Reception class
2. Be confident planning and delivering engaging EYFS learning experiences
3. Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management
4. Have a secure understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development
5. Be nurturing, adaptable and committed to supporting pupil progress
6. Have excellent communication and teamwork skills

Requirements
13. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
14. Minimum 1 year experience teaching in Reception
15. Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum
16. A current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through Connex
