About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive HR professional who enjoys variety, responsibility, and being at the heart of a busy People Services function.
Whether you are an HR Generalist with strong administration skills or an HR Co-ordinator with hands-on ER experience, this role offers the chance to build breadth, deepen your HR knowledge, and make a real impact across the full employee lifecycle.
You will play a key role in ensuring HR processes are compliant, accurate and delivered to a high standard, while supporting managers with practical, people-focused advice.
Key Tasks:
No two days are the same but you will be involved in:
Providing first-line HR advice across a wide range of people matters, including absence, disciplinaries, grievances, and performance issues
Supporting and managing employee relations cases with guidance from senior HR where required
Coordinating recruitment campaigns, assessment days and maintaining accurate recruitment records
Ensuring new starter, leaver and contractual changes are processed accurately and on time
Completing compliance checks, audits and ensuring HR and payroll data is accurate and up to date
Working closely with payroll to meet deadlines and resolve queries
Building trusted relationships with managers and stakeholders across multiple sites
Key Requirements:
This role would suit someone who is organised, confident and enjoys balancing people-focused work with detail-driven administration.
Experience in a generalist HR, HR Advisor or HR Co-ordinator role
Exposure to employee relations casework and employment law fundamentals
Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
Confidence dealing with managers and handling sensitive issues professionally
Experience using HR, payroll, or time & attendance systems (desirable)
A full driving licence to support occasional travel to other Yorkshire sites
CIPD qualification or working towards it (desirable, not essential)
