Job Vacancy: Full-Time Primary Teaching Assistant – Pontypridd
Location: Pontypridd
Hours: 08:00am – 15:15pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full Academic Year (with potential for extension)
Pay: £90-95 daily rate (term time only)
Are you passionate about working with children and making a real difference in the classroom? We are looking for a dedicated, proactive, and patient Teaching Assistants to join a friendly and supportive primary school in the Pontypridd area from September 2025.
About the Role:
You’ll be working full-time, supporting pupils in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. The role involves assisting the class teacher, working with small groups, and occasionally providing 1:1 support—particularly for children with additional learning needs. Every day is different, so you’ll need to be adaptable, approachable, and ready to roll up your sleeves!

Experience working with children is essential – this could be in a school, nursery, kids club, playscheme, or through personal/family experience.
A calm, friendly, and firm approach – someone who sets clear boundaries while nurturing positive relationships.

Someone who is genuinely committed to helping children thrive both academically and socially.
Qualifications:
Childcare or education qualifications are not essential, but relevant experience is highly valued.
