Job Description: Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Fakenham
Salary: 26-30k
Technique Recruitment solutions are working alongside a small, friendly company dealing in an international marketplace looking for a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer.
The Role
* Develop customized products for a small, friendly company dealing in an international marketplace.
* Creation of overall design and assembly drawings to define customer requirements.
* Generation of detailed manufacturing drawings for internal or external production.
* Creation of BOM for special products and procurement as required.
* Customer liaison for projects.
* Liaison with Workshop Supervisor to ensure projects are fulfilled on time.
* Continuous Improvement of existing products.
Key Skills
* A sound background in mechanical engineering, with good knowledge of mechanisms, fabricated assemblies and sheet metalwork.
* The ability to quickly and effectively design customized variants from a standard product range.
* The ability to prioritise workload and deal efficiently with multiple projects.
Other Skills
* Good working knowledge of Solidworks 3D CAD or similar.
* Able to produce effective, detailed manufacturing information on time.
* Working knowledge of Machinery Standards and relevant legislation.
* Able to work as part of a small team.
* Excellent communication skills.
