Your Responsibilities as Nursery Chef:
* Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to hygiene standards and completing the Kitchen Hygiene Checklist monthly.
* Prepare and cook age-appropriate meals for children, ensuring minimal food wastage.
* Communicate dietary requirements clearly to the team and ensure they are met.
* Collaborate with nursery staff and parents to promote healthy eating habits.
* Manage food orders within budget to maintain high standards of service.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven knowledge of managing dietary requirements and food allergies (essential).
* Understanding of COSHH regulations (essential).
* Ability to work within a catering budget while maintaining food quality (essential).
* Experience in cooking within domestic or commercial settings (essential).
* Fluency in written and spoken English at GCSE grade C (or equivalent) (essential).
* A passion for cooking for young children (desirable).
