Learning Support Assistant
Prospero Teaching are working with a fantastic specialist education provider currently seeking enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC).
This exceptional provision, based near Southampton, Hampshire, offers a bespoke educational programme for pupils aged 11-16 years who have all been identified as having Autism and associated needs. Each pupil receives a highly individualised curriculum delivered through 1:1 or 2:1 support, designed to meet their specific learning, social and emotional needs.
We welcome applicants who have experience working with children or young people with ASC or SEND, as well as those looking to begin a meaningful career within Special Educational Needs (SEN) education.
The position may also suit candidates with experience in care, psychology, or youth work, who are looking to transition into education and gain further training and experience.

Minimum rate of pay: £104.70 per day
Hours: 8:45am - 4:15pmExperience, Training & Qualifications:
A compassionate, patient and resilient approach when supporting young people with Autism.
Ability to build trusting relationships and create a positive learning environment.
Strong communication skills to work effectively with staff, pupils and parents/carers.
Experience working with students with ASC, SEMH or other SEND needs (desirable).
Relevant qualifications in Education, Psychology, Youth Work or Health & Social Care (desirable).To Be Eligible, You Must:
Hold Right to Work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application.
Provide two professional child-related references.
