Overview

Are you an automotive professional ready for a new challenge? Passionate about vehicles and providing exceptional service? As a Technical Advisor at The AA, you'll play a crucial role in assisting customers and contact centre staff with your knowledge and experience. You will be the go-to expert for customers seeking telephone fixes and supporting the business by only sending patrols to where they are needed. What will I be doing?


Responsibilities

* Provide essential technical support, advice, and repair fixes to customers, ensuring we attend vehicles in a genuine breakdown scenario where appropriate.
* Ensure efficient communication and effective resolution of breakdowns for our customers.
* Record data on relevant databases accurately to contribute to management insights and facilitate efficient decision-making; you must be computer literate and confident using various systems.
* Provide advice in a clear, customer-friendly way to ensure understanding and deliver excellent customer service.
* Be a target-driven individual focused on achieving results.
* Be a fixer/problem solver who uses technical expertise to resolve issues and get customers moving again.
* Master communicator: translate complex technical information into simple, effective explanations for customers and Patrols to build confidence in resolving the issue.
* Be flexible: breakdowns can occur outside normal hours; be willing to work on a roster that includes weekends.


Qualifications

* Mechanical Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or an equivalent qualification, alongside substantial, demonstrable experience in the motor vehicle repair industry.
