We are seeking a highly motivated individual with extensive orthopaedic experience to become an integral part of our dynamic team. Main duties We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with extensive orthopaedic theatre experience to become a key member of our dynamic multidisciplinary team. This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their perioperative career or seeking a fresh challenge in a supportive and forward thinking environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical experience within the orthopaedic speciality. They will be expected to undertake a variety of perioperative roles including: Scrub Practitioner Circulating Person Escort Person All responsibilities will be performed within the scope of the post holder’s qualifications and registration. The post holder will act as a role model and mentor, supporting junior staff and students through training, supervision, and participation in professional development processes A commitment to patient centred values. Participate in the development and delivery of a philosophy of care which involves/respects the rights of patients, carers and staff. Maintain an awareness of national and regional initiatives. Act as a positive ambassador for the trust. Deliver direct care to patients within their caseload in accordance with the trusts policies and HCPC/NMC guidelines. Comply with trust policies and requirements and undertake duties in accordance with the most recent HCPC/NMC Code of Professional Conduct. Maintain clear, accurate, legible and up to date trust documentation that provides an accurate record of perioperative care delivered in accordance with the most recent NMC/HCPC standards for record keeping. Maintain confidentiality of trust and patient information. Comply with the Data Protection Act and Caldecott recommendations.
