Description
You will be responsible for providing effective leadership for the Work Based Tutors (WBT). Supporting and working with the Apprenticeship Data and Compliance manager, Apprenticeship Quality Practitioner, and Director of Apprenticeships to ensure the apprenticeship area contributes to and achieves the College’s objectives of becoming an outstanding, innovative, and customer-focused provider that promotes growth in recruitment and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage the Work Based Tutors to ensure effective delivery of apprenticeship standards tailored to apprentices and employers.
* Lead curriculum innovation to meet learner and employer needs aligned with national, regional, and local agendas.
* Promote excellence in curriculum management, development, and sharing best practices.
* Support the Apprenticeship Director in maintaining high team performance through regular performance reviews and appraisals.
* Coordinate verification processes with awarding bodies and external verifiers.
* Ensure OFSTED and ESFA compliance through support of relevant teams.
* Manage quality assurance processes and contribute to self-assessment reports.
* Prepare for inspections and audits, including audits of OneFile and Maytas systems.
* Oversee timely End Point Assessments (EPA) for apprenticeships.
* Collaborate with marketing and partners to promote and grow provision.
* Develop new courses and apprenticeships to meet employer needs.
* Provide timely data for operational meetings and reports.
* Participate actively in the College’s wider management activities.
* Engage in continuous professional development.
* Perform any other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications
Essential:
* L3 Qualification in a related Apprenticeship area
Desirable:
* Degree or relevant professional qualification
* Strong IT skills
* L4 Internal Quality Assurance
Experience
Essential:
* Recent experience in Apprenticeship delivery
* Experience in academic, industrial, or commercial sectors related to Standards
* Experience with college systems like OneFile/Maytas
* Excellent IT skills and database management experience
* Experience working with apprenticeship and curriculum teams
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Ability to multitask and work under pressure
Desirable:
* Management experience including quality, staff, and apprenticeship delivery responsibilities
Knowledge
Essential:
* Knowledge of apprenticeship funding rules
* Understanding of End Point Assessment Organisations (EPAOs)
