Parts Manager – Agricultural & Ground Care Machinery
Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Parts Manager to step into a key leadership role with a respected machinery dealer. This position offers real autonomy, responsibility, and the chance to make a tangible impact on parts sales, operational efficiency, and team development.
You will lead the day-to-day running of the parts department, balancing commercial stock control with exceptional customer service, while managing and developing a small team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate the daily workload of the parts department to maximise sales and efficiency
Maintain effective stock control, ensuring appropriate stock levels, quality, and commercial value
Lead, develop, and motivate a small parts team, including training and performance management
Ensure all parts processes are followed and the department is well organised, clean, and compliant with health and safety standards
Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to secure best pricing and maintain strong working relationships
Process parts warranty claims and returns within required time frames to maximise credit recovery
Monitor departmental performance against branch targets and contribute to overall business objectives
Produce and analyse internal reports to support decision-making and operational improvements
Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service, aiming to exceed customer expectationsWhat You'll Need to Succeed
Experience in a parts department, ideally within agricultural, ground care, or construction machinery
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
Confident user of standard computer applications and online systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional weekend
