A well-established and highly regarded organisation in North Yorkshire is seeking an experienced Sales & Events Administrator to join their team. They are seeking a candidate who is personable, bubbly, highly organised, and confident when it comes to chasing payments or managing expectations professionally when required. This is a varied and fast-paced role suited to someone who thrives in a busy environment, particularly during the summer season when the business is at its busiest. Were looking for a proactive administrator who is confident managing customer relationships, coordinating events, and keeping on top of invoicing and operational administration.Key Responsibilities
* Managing all customer enquiries via phone and email
* Handling event enquiries including show rounds, quotations, and bookings
* Generating both proactive and reactive sales opportunities
* Coordinating all event administration from booking through to completion
* Issuing contracts, confirmations, invoices, and chasing overdue payments
* Delivering exceptional customer service throughout the customer journey
* Supporting schedules, staff rotas, reservations, and stock counts
* Liaising with operational teams to ensure smooth event delivery
* Assisting on event days to ensure seamless execution
* Attending meetings, taking minutes, and communicating actions
* Occasionally covering Front Desk duties and serving customers
* Supporting the wider marketing activities of the business
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience within business administration, events, hospitality, or sales support
* Strong administrative and organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Confident multitasker with strong attention to detail
* Customer service focused with a positive and approachable personality
* Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
* Commercially minded with a proactive approach
* Confident using computer systems and software
* Comfortable chasing invoices and managing situations assertively when needed
