Shop Supervisor - Winchester - Part Time at Wenzel's the Bakers Ltd.
Wenzel's was established in 1975 and has since become a favourite for locals in the North-West and Greater London, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Hampshire and Surrey. We are looking for exciting new talent with a passion for food and customer service to join our team. There is now an exciting opportunity to come and join the team as one of our Shop Supervisors.

Pay & Hours
Pay: £12.71 per hour. Working week: 20 hours over 5 days (Mon-Sun).
We offer flexible working hours where possible to accommodate your needs. Although shops open early and have set shifts, we are open to discussing flexible hours.
Job Role
As a Shop Supervisor you will work alongside our team preparing fresh ingredients and producing sandwiches, baguettes and other food products in line with our Company standards, while providing excellent customer service and selling high quality fresh food. The successful candidate will be trained to Wenzel's Company standards and be eligible for future progression. A supervisor will be responsible for assisting the Shop Manager with the day-to-day running of the store and supervising the team, ensuring growth through increasing sales, controlling costs and delivering profit, while developing and leading the shop team to build a loyal customer base.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet customers and create an inviting experience.
* Receive and check daily deliveries.
* Assist with management of branch stock and produce.
* Maintain shop displays.
* Have excellent knowledge and understanding of products.
* Prepare food in line with the specification.
* Food and produce quality control.
* Maintain the highest level of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety standards.
* Work efficiently within a team.
* Cash handling and till operation.
* Open or close the shop when required.
* Run shifts at various times during the week.
* Drive sales and minimise wastage.
* Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment at supervisory level is required.
* Experience working in food production would be advantageous but not essential, as full ongoing training will be provided.
