Are you an FP&A / commercial finance professional who enjoys building structure, improving reporting and partnering closely with the business in a fast-paced retail environment?
A profitable omnichannel consumer brand is looking for a Commercial Finance/FP&A Manager to join its finance team in Buckinghamshire.
This is a broad, high-impact role in a well-established but growing business with c.£150m turnover, a strong e-commerce operation and a national store footprint. The business is performing well, has a strong brand and loyal customer base, and is continuing to invest in growth - particularly internationally. You’d be joining at an important time, with the opportunity to take real ownership of FP&A and help improve how finance supports decision-making across the business.
The remit goes beyond traditional commercial finance. They need someone who can lead budgeting and forecasting across channels, strengthen reporting and KPI visibility, and bring more rigour and forward planning into the FP&A function. Alongside that, you’d partner closely with teams across retail, merchandising, e-commerce and marketing - helping leadership understand performance, challenge assumptions and make better commercial decisions.
What will you be doing?
* Partnering with retail, merchandising, e-commerce and marketing teams to analyse performance and support decision-making
* Leading budgeting, forecasting and planning cycles across online, stores and wholesale
* Building and improving financial models, dashboards and KPI reporting
* Delivering monthly, quarterly and ad hoc analysis, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities
* Supporting ROI analysis on investment opportunities including new stores, new markets, product launches and technology spend
* Evaluating marketing spend and campaign performance to improve profitability across channels
* Driving process, systems and reporting improvements across the finance function
* Leading and developing a small team, setting clear priorities and supporting high performance
What would we love to see from you?
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified, or equivalent
* Strong end-to-end FP&A experience, ideally within retail, consumer or omnichannel environments
* A background that combines planning, reporting and genuine business partnering
* Strong Excel and systems capability - they need someone who can improve and rebuild, not just maintain
* Commercially minded, with the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders and influence decisions
* Comfortable operating in a fast-moving business where priorities can shift quickly
* A collaborative, hands-on approach and the ability to bring structure to complexity
* Previous people management experience would be beneficial
