Job Description
3. Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate financial forecasting.
4. Monitor project costs and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
5. Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to stakeholders.
6. Support funding applications and manage grant reporting requirements.
7. Collaborate with project teams to align financial planning with objectives.
8. Ensure timely invoicing and effective cash flow management for projects.
9. Identify and resolve financial discrepancies within project accounts.
10. Assist in financial audits related to specific projects.
11. Drive process improvements and maintain robust project accounting systems.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Project Accountant / Management Accountant should have:
12. Proven experience in accounting or financial management within the engineering/ manufacturing/ / defence or construction industries
13. Experience of project accounting principles and practices.
14. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
15. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
16. Financial modelling skills
17. Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
18. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
19. Relevant accounting qualifications or certifications.

20. Salary range between £45,000 and £60,000 per annum.
