Role reporting to our prestigious Client’s Service Manager
There is no ‘call out’ rota and attendance is ‘shift requirement only’.
Salary: Negotiable, (for guidance: between £30/35k pa).
Role Function:
The successful Engineer will be responsible for the installation, repair, and servicing of our Client’s presses at customer sites.
The role involves extensive travel throughout the UK with potential travel through Northern Europe.
Qualifications & Experience
* HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
* Experience of process control electronics, PLCs, and diagnostics using various software applications.
Preferred / not essential:
* Print industry background, with a full understanding of how printing systems integrate.
Job Responsibilities
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for electrical installation, repair, and servicing of presses at customer sites.
Main Responsibilities
Technical:
* Install presses at customer sites in line with work schedules and customer requirements, liaising with the Project Engineer and installation team.
* Respond to technical requests from customers, diagnosing and resolving issues promptly.
* Carry out pre-planned service interventions.
* Refer to documentation and seek assistance from the team as needed.
* Report on each assignment with full details.
Customer Relationships
* Liaise with senior customer staff, clarifying technical requirements and scope of work.
* Maintain good relationships, representing the company professionally.
* Promote service products and training, reporting leads to the Service Manager.
Teamwork
* Work as part of the team, ensuring timely and quality completion of electrical work.
Health & Safety
* Ensure personal and team safety, cooperating with company policies.
