Account Manager
The Hive, Worcester
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Account Manager to lead the Facilities Management contract at The Hive, Worcester a landmark, multi-use PFI building that brings together a library, archives, university services, council offices, and community spaces under one roof.
As Account Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the delivery of both Hard and Soft FM services across the site. This includes maintenance, compliance, cleaning, catering, security, and grounds. You will manage a skilled on-site team and subcontractors, ensuring first-class service delivery, contractual compliance, and strong relationships with stakeholders including the SPV (Project Co), Worcester Council, and Worcester University.
This is a high-profile role requiring a proactive leader with strong commercial acumen, exceptional communication skills, and a focus on operational excellence.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead the delivery of all FM services across The Hive, ensuring compliance with contract terms, KPIs, and SLAs.
* Manage, mentor, and support the on-site FM team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
* Build and maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders including the SPV, local authority, and university partners.
* Monitor, manage, and report on contract performance, compliance, and financials.
* Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring high-quality delivery.
* Drive service innovation, continuous improvement, and cost efficiencies.
* Manage risk, health & safety, statutory compliance, and sustainability requirements.
* Support lifecycle planning and handback obligations, ensuring readiness for the future.
* Oversee the operation of the on-site commercial café, ensuring high standards of service, compliance with food safety regulations, and delivery of strong commercial performance.
Skills & experience:
* Proven experience in Account Management, Facilities Management, or Contract Management (ideally within a PFI or complex multi-stakeholder environment).
* Strong knowledge of both Hard and Soft FM services.
* IWFM qualification or technical background (desirable).
* Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Commercially astute, with experience in financial management and reporting.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and suppliers.
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Working arrangements
In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work from The Hive, Worcester, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm)
