We have an exciting opportunity for a Youth Justice Case Manager
We are a Service of around 100 workers, committed to achieving the best outcomes for our children and young people through advocacy and empowerment. We deliver services with the young person at the centre and ensure that their voices are integral to all that we do. We develop our services with our young people, and we are part of the Children and Families Department at Leicestershire County Council, rated "Outstanding" by Ofsted.
As a Case Manager, you will form meaningful relationships with children and be part of their journey in making positive changes towards a fulfilling future. The successful candidate will provide child-first approaches to our most complex and high-risk children engaged in offending behaviour. Opportunities to learn and develop practice around Court procedures and coordinating multi-agency approaches to support children in deterring offending and re-offending will be available.
For internal applicants, this could be an exciting secondment opportunity. We support staff transitioning into Youth Justice with full training to facilitate this move. We also support flexible working arrangements to help balance work and personal commitments, including term-time working, part-time hours, flexible start and finish times, remote working, etc. Please contact us to discuss options.
Application Requirements
To apply, you must respond to and evidence the following essential criteria within your personal statement (no more than 1,000 words):
1. Professional qualification in Social Work, Probation, Education, Youth and Community Work, or a relevant health specialism
2. Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the role
3. Significant experience working with children or adults at risk of offending and re-offending
4. Experience of working in the Criminal Justice System
5. Knowledge of Youth Justice and safeguarding legislation and the operation of the Criminal Justice System
6. Understanding of neurological development and the differing needs of children and young people
7. Knowledge of relevant behavioural change practices to address anti-social and offending behaviour
8. Disability Confident status (or willingness to achieve)
