Cogent Staffing are recruiting for Warehouse Operative/ FLT Driver for our established automotive distribution client based in Newtownabbey, Belfast.
This is a temporary to permanent role, with successful candidates taken on as a permanent member of staff after a period of 12 qualifying weeks.
Shifts & salary:
* Monday to Friday 23:00-07:00
* £14.04 per hour
* 1 hour unpaid break per shift
* 42 hour working week average
* Ongoing work with potential for a permanent role after 12 full weeks qualifying period
To start as soon as possible.
Role details:
* Generating pick sheets
* Picking order loads from sheets
* Carrying out warehouse operations, packing orders, processing goods
* Operating Counterbalance FLT on site if licence held
* Using hand held scanners to pick orders
* Manual handling and heavy lifting of up to 30kg when required
* Driving to regular customers if required with around 10-12 drops per run
The candidate:
* This is predominantly a warehouse role not driving, driving duties will only be in the event you need to cover a Driver who is absent etc. or during peak periods
* Must have no more than 6 points on driving licence
* Must be prepared to pick and load van daily
* Has previous warehouse experience
* Must be capable of lifting up to 30kg
* Ideally holds a valid Counterbalance FLT licence
* Comfortable with driving long distances following route navigation when needed
* Happy to work within the warehouse not majority driving
