Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) based in hodgehill
SEN School – EYFS to KS2
Full Time | Long term
We are seeking a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team at our specialist SEN school, supporting pupils with complex needs across EYFS to Key Stage 2.
This is a varied and rewarding role, combining class-based TA support with PPA cover, working closely with teachers, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, child-centred provision.
The Role:
* Supporting pupils with a range of complex special educational needs
* Working across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
* Delivering planned learning during PPA cover
* Adapting learning activities to meet individual needs
* Promoting communication, independence and emotional regulation
* Supporting personal care where required
The Ideal Candidate:
* HLTA qualification (essential)
* Experience working in a SEN setting, ideally with complex needs
* Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
* Confident covering classes and leading learning
* Calm, patient and nurturing approach
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills
