Position Summary
Why Join our Team? Samsung’s Omni Channel Marketing team is committed to activating the best execution for all MX products (mobile, tablet, wearables, audio, computing and accessories). This role defines and controls what consumers see, feel and hear about Samsung MX product and services within our Channel partners. The Omni Channel Marketing team for MX leads channel partner marketing relationships and end-to-end execution across all owned and paid touchpoints. We work with 14 B2C accounts across Operators, MVNOs, Retailers, Distributors and Sim Free Pure Player channels, encompassing paid ATL, retail high street, below the line retention initiatives and Contact Centre share of business. Our channel partners success in ranging, promoting and launching our MX portfolio is central to our work, driving marketing across UK markets and defending our strong position through commercialisation, execution leadership and innovation.
Role and Responsibilities
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the Omni Channel Marketing team across Retail & Distribution with a strong understanding of annual planning, contract negotiation, ROI, profit focus and Tier 1 brand channel execution.
* Develop and implement a step-change in how we engage customers across all shopping touchpoints; lead a team of 6 to achieve channel leadership in MX categories.
* Establish relationships with senior customer counterparts to drive engagement and advocacy across Operator and MVNO channel partners.
* Manage Samsung’s customer journey across channel partner touchpoints to create best-in-class consumer shopping experiences.
* Partner with Sales leadership to hit short- and long-term sales goals.
* Oversee day-to-day partnership management across marketing, operational processes, insights, reporting and contractual obligations for a portfolio of partners.
* Prioritise investments across different retail segments to maximise revenues and return on investment and ROAS.
* Develop mutually beneficial programs by understanding partner objectives and cross-channel opportunities.
* Create a full-year execution strategy calendar for partners to drive investment and category prioritisation planning.
* Lead change and implement new ways of working across the Omni Channel Team in collaboration with peers.
* Control and optimise multi-channel marketing investments aligned to ROAS principles; analyse post-launch results to shape future activities.
* Collaborate with internal partners to activate best-in-class partner execution for major MX product launches and lifecycle activities aligned with UK strategy and KPIs.
* Drive Omni Channel excellence using Samsung Omni Channel contracts, ensuring adherence to standards and ongoing reporting and optimisation.
* Co-own and lead governance and execution of channel partner launch and promotional plans with senior leaders and HQ partners.
* Take a customer-centric approach to develop propositions with product management for effective market execution.
* Partner with creative teams or agencies for projects and staffing as needed.
* Embrace invention while leveraging proven approaches; manage risk with contingency plans; present trade-offs where priorities diverge.
* Lead or co-lead campaign and program alignment meetings and creative reviews with senior leaders and teams.
What we need for this role
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
* Marketing background, ideally with vendor experience or marketing within a retailer, network operator or agency
* Strong leadership, ability to motivate change and formal people management experience
* Experience across the marketing mix – ATL and BTL
* Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of articulating cases to senior audiences
* 360 marketing experience with a focus on digital and a clear understanding of digital metrics
* Proven ability to manage significant budgets and drive ROI opportunities
* Commercial acumen to justify marketing spend to senior audiences
* Multi-tasking ability to juggle multiple priorities and business demands
* Excellent interpersonal skills across all levels
* Strong negotiating and relationship-building skills
* Initiative and energy to present ideas proactively
