Linux Technical Support Engineer – Rotherham/Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:
· Support and maintain Linux-based systems (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky/Ubuntu)
· Troubleshoot server, storage, application, and networking issues for global clients.
· Contribute to hardware/software installations, configurations, and deployments.
· Document resolutions and contribute to the internal knowledgebase.
· Learn and assist with enterprise storage systems, including distributed filesystems
· Support basic networking (VLANs, routing, switch configuration).
· Automation tools (SaltStack) and scripting (Bash/Python) — training provided.
Person Profile:
· Prior experience in an IT support role, service desk, or infrastructure support.
· Confident with Linux command line and basic system administration.
· Exposure to networking, storage, or virtualisation is advantageous.
· Excellent communication skills for working with technical teams and end users.
