My clients is currently looking for a Corporate Actions specialist to join their team in Blackpool and be a subject matter expert to the wider team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing deep technical expertise across complex corporate action events, acting as a point of escalation, quality control, and knowledge leadership within the Corporate Actions function.
Key Focuses
* Upskilling and mentoring operational staff
* Interpreting and managing complex, high‑risk and non‑standard corporate actions
* Processing complex, high‑risk and non‑standard corporate actions
* Ensuring regulatory, jurisdictional and tax considerations are correctly applied
* Supporting a UK and Channel Islands wealth management business
Duties and responsibilities
Act as the primary technical authority for complex and non‑standard corporate action events, including but not limited to:
* Tender offers, schemes of arrangement, mergers, demergers, re‑domiciliation and restructurings
* Events with jurisdictional restrictions, solicitation limitations and regulatory sensitivities
* Events involving overseas markets, depositary interests and custody chains.
Interpret issuer documentation, circulars and offer terms to determine:
* Correct processing requirements
* Client eligibility and restrictions
* Instruction mechanics and deadlines
* Settlement, consideration and entitlement treatment.
Lead and support the technical development of Corporate Actions staff, including:
* On‑the‑job coaching and mentoring
* Technical walkthroughs of complex events
* Support with interpreting offer documentation and restrictions.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of:
* Technical guidance notes and FAQs
* Training materials and reference documentation.
Act as a go‑to escalation point for complex queries from within Operations, Front Office and Client Services.
