About The Role
Avove has been appointed as the delivery partner for Yorkshire Water's AMP8 Developer Services Framework for the next four years, with a potential four-year extension. This framework involves a range of provisions, from mains and services to meter installations and sewerage diversions, as well as new supply connections and related activities for domestic and commercial customers' new developments. The contract covers all operational activity for both commercial and domestic developer services customers, with an emphasis on improving customer service, and is valued at approximately £95 million over the eight-year period. As a Utilities Operative, you will carry out instructions as directed by the Site Manager/Team Leader to deliver civils work to the agreed quality, timescales, and safety standards.
The role will be based in Brighouse or Malton. The role requires a full Driving Licence.
What Will Your Day Look Like
* Carrying out tasks given by the Site Manager/Team Leader, ensuring work is done efficiently, cost-effectively, and to a high standard.
* Attending training courses necessary for professional development.
* Using materials economically, returning unused materials to stores, and safely removing scrap materials from site.
* Undertaking possession management and site management duties as instructed.
* Performing duties reliably and flexibly, assisting the team as required.
* Maintaining good relationships with customers and behaving professionally at all times.
About You
You will be health and safety focused, possess good communication skills, and be a keen problem solver. A willingness to learn and a commitment to professional development are essential. Experience working in clean water utilities is required for this role.
