Location: Salford / Speke
Hours: 40 hours per week (some flexibility available)
Your Responsibilities
As the Major Projects Mechanical Lead, you will:
* Oversee and coordinate the mechanical design for large, complex construction projects.
* Act as the central point for technical excellence, team leadership, and client liaison.
* Ensure sustainable, compliant, and cost-effective design delivery from concept to construction.
* Manage design teams, integrate different disciplines, and drive innovation for high-value projects.
Your Day-to-Day Tasks Will Include:
* Leading the management of all works delivered through the Mechanical team.
* Coordinating solutions with the Major Projects Electrical Lead for all major new builds.
* Managing team utilization levels and ensuring quality control.
* Championing effective communication with management on output, progress, costs, and risks.
* Providing high-level technical advice in mechanical building services engineering.
* Delivering coordinated design solutions and providing budget costs as needed.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Are a Chartered Engineer and member of CIBSE or IET, with a degree in Mechanical Building Services or Electrical Engineering.
* Have significant knowledge of the Mechanical, Electrical & Technology industry.
* Can communicate complex technical concepts in an accessible way.
* Meet the BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) requirements.
