Overview
A vacancy at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Recruiting for TG CT1s to cover potential gaps in our training programme in Emergency Medicine. The posts are full‑time and fixed term of six months with the possibility of extension. They cover both York and Scarborough hospitals. Postholders receive the same training and educational opportunities as training colleagues, including paid study leave, clinical and educational supervision, and access to postgraduate medical education centres on both sites.
Estimated start date is August changeover; alternative dates can be discussed at interview. Please note that posts are not guaranteed and may be closed early if a high volume of applications is received.
Responsibilities
* Comply with GMC requirements of Duties of a Doctor at all times.
* Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
* Undertake duties as defined within the job description, practicable and in agreement with the clinical director.
* Be responsible and managerially accountable for the reasonable and effective use of Trust resources and professionally accountable to the Medical Director.
* Attend the Trust’s Corporate Induction on commencement.
* Participate in the Trust’s statutory and mandatory training programme.
* Be responsible for the clinical management of in‑patients and out‑patients under your care.
* Comply with Trust policies and procedures where appropriate.
* Ensure that all intellectual property rights of the Trust are observed.
* Have detailed working knowledge of safeguarding agenda, legislation, policy and guidance.
