We are looking for a committed and knowledgeable Maths Teacher to provide high-quality teaching in line with the national curriculum and school expectations. The role involves delivering engaging lessons, tracking student progress, and supporting learners with a range of abilities. The successful candidate will foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encourage active participation, and uphold high standards of behaviour and achievement.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons that cater to a range of abilities and align with the national curriculum.
Assess, record, and report on student progress, offering clear and constructive feedback to both students and parents/carers.
Develop and prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching resources.
Maintain a safe, supportive, and well-managed classroom environment.
Identify individual learning needs and implement targeted support or interventions where necessary.
Uphold school values and consistently follow safeguarding, health, and safety policies.
Essential Qualifications
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
Experience teaching GCSE Maths at secondary level.
Experience
Experience teaching Mathematics in a secondary school setting, ideally across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Proven ability to plan, deliver, and assess lessons that support student progress.
Familiarity with school procedures and effective classroom management techniques.
Knowledge and Skills
Strong subject knowledge, including curriculum requirements and assessment frameworks.
Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities when working with students, staff, and parents/carers.
Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse learning needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
