New Directions Education is currently recruiting a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to work in an Outstanding secondary school in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with school-based experience who are confident leading classes and managing behaviour effectively. The role is particularly well suited to aspiring or trainee teachers looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

About the Role
5. Deliver pre-set lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher
6. Maintain a focused and productive learning environment
7. Manage classroom behaviour confidently and consistently in line with school policy
8. Ensure pupils remain on task and complete the work set
9. Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil progress and behaviour
The Ideal Candidate
10. Previous school-based experience is essential
11. Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to command a classroom
12. Confident, resilient, and professional approach
13. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
14. Considering a career in teaching (desirable but not essential)
Requirements
15. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
16. Employment references covering the last 5 years
