Material Handler II
Location: Heysham
Salary: £12.65 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, rotating weekly, Week 1: 08:00 - 16:00 Week 2: 09:30 - 17:30
We're looking for a reliable Material Handler to join our warehouse team in Heysham. You'll be responsible for picking, packing, and shipping orders (both UK and Export), maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring health & safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Pick and pack shipments accurately following pick lists and shipping guidelines
* Label and prepare items for UK and export in line with transport regulations
* Load shipments and complete all required paperwork
* Use third-party systems (e.g. couriers, MSDS)
* Keep stock levels of consumables replenished
* Operate warehouse equipment (after training) and report faults
* Maintain records and comply with security and safety policies
* Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
Requirements:
* Previous warehouse experience (preferred)
* Attention to detail and focus on quality
* Forklift license (beneficial but not essential)
* Willingness to follow processes and maintain high safety standards
* Must be eligible to work in the UK
