As a Technology Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team and delivering technology products and services. Your role involves setting your team up for success, representing them to stakeholders and suppliers, and building effective relationships across the organization. You will identify and address blockers and inefficiencies, leveraging data to improve workflows and achieve better outcomes.
Joining the Home Office Technology Delivery community, you will share knowledge and experience with colleagues across the department and wider Government, fostering skills development and adherence to best practices and standards.

Due to business requirements, this role is available on a Full-Time/Flexible Working basis. Some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based work, with a minimum of 60% of working time spent in the office.

The Migration and Borders Technology Portfolio (MBTP) is part of the Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Directorate within the Home Office. MBTP comprises approximately 3,500 professionals, including civil servants and suppliers, working on challenging and transformative technology projects supporting critical migration and border programs. We collaborate closely with colleagues in the Migration and Borders mission and support other capabilities such as Customer Services, Immigration Enforcement, and Border Force. Our work involves designing, building, operating, and maintaining services that facilitate the legitimate movement of people and goods, underpinning economic prosperity.
As a Technology Delivery Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
1. Taking responsibility for your team’s delivery of technology products and services, coaching them to explore needs, solve problems, and deliver effectively. Continuously monitoring and improving processes and performance.
2. Contributing to the creation and maintenance of realistic plans, ensuring delivery within quality, cost, and time constraints. Removing blockers and engaging stakeholders as needed.
3. Developing a motivated and collaborative team, providing guidance and constructive feedback. Monitoring team health and resolving issues collaboratively.
4. Managing risks, issues, and dependencies appropriately.
5. Engaging with and influencing relevant technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering strong relationships.
6. Acting as a primary contact for suppliers involved in delivery, monitoring performance, and resolving problems.
