The Role
We're looking for a talented Pre-Sales Consultant to join our dynamic and customer-focused team at TalkTalk Business. In this pivotal role, you'll act as a trusted technical advisor to our Account Executives and Sales teams, helping shape innovative, value-led solutions that meet customer needs.
You'll collaborate across departments, including Product, Marketing, and Engineering, to ensure technical alignment, market relevance, and a seamless customer experience. Working with a wide range of technologies, you'll support customers throughout their journey, from initial engagement to solution adoption.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:
* Engage with customers to understand business and technical requirements, translating them into tailored solutions.
* Design scalable, secure, and commercially viable solutions across areas such as networking, connectivity, security, UCaaS/CCaaS, cloud, and IoT.
* Select and collaborate with appropriate technologies and vendors (e.g. Cisco, Meraki, Mitel) aligned with customer environments and procurement frameworks.
* Produce technical documentation including high-level designs, bill of materials, and responses to bids and RFx processes.
* Partner with Sales teams to qualify opportunities, shape propositions, and support deal closured.
* Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and demonstrations to showcase solution value.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure feasibility, pricing accuracy, and readiness for delivery.
* Stay informed on emerging technologies such as SD-WAN, SASE, and IoT, and advise on strategic fit.
* Contribute to process improvements and internal knowledge sharing to enhance pre-sales effectiveness.
* Maintain awareness of compliance standards and public sector procurement frameworks.
Skills and experience we are looking for
* Experience in technical customer-facing roles such as pre-sales, solutions engineering, or post-sales implementation.
* Technical knowledge in at least three of areas such as: enterprise routing, service provider routing, IoT, network automation, LAN/cloud technologies, on-prem/cloud security, UCaaS/CCaaS.
* Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Strong presentation and consulting skills, with a customer-first mindset.
* Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of tasks and outcomes.
* Flexible and eager to learn new technologies and market trends.
* Industry-recognised certifications in voice and data are beneficial but not essential.
How you will work

Our aim is for our full time team to spend 3 days a week at our HQ in Soapworks, Salford Quays with the remaining days offering the option to work from home.
