Person Specification
* Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust's values
* Obtained an educational level of GCSE grade A-C in English and Maths or equivalent
* Smoking Cessation Training or willing to undertake within the first 3 months of starting in the post
* Preferable NVQ/Diploma Level 3 or equivalent higher apprenticeship in healthcare
* Experience of assessing patient needs and responding with relevant care plans
* Experience of supporting smoke-free pathways
* Experience working as part of a team
* Experience of using computer systems and electronic records
* Experience in working with patients in the delivery of the health promotion agenda
* Ideally, experience of supporting patients who wish to give up smoking
* Good knowledge and understanding of evidence-based practice in smoking cessation, the consequences of smoking, and the benefits of quitting
* Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with professionals and individuals from different backgrounds
* Excellent communication (written and verbal) and listening skills
* Competent IT skills, experience with WORD and EXCEL
* Ability to present information clearly and logically, both written and orally
* Ability to organise and prioritise workload
* Ability to write accurate and legible patient notes
* Ability to communicate effectively with patients who may be difficult or dismissive
* Enthusiastic, proactive, and flexible
