Role: Technician – Wet Trades (Bricklaying & Plastering)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £23,751 - £24,429 – Permanent – Full time
Employer Pension Contribution: 20.8% (£4,940.21-£5,081.23)
Location: Stockport Campus (requirements across the Group may require cover at other sites)
The Trafford & Stockport College Group (TSCG) invites an experienced Technician to join the team to help us unlock potential and foster success. The successful applicant will join a team fully committed to delivering high-quality learning programmes.
The Role
As Technician in Wet Trades, you will provide high-quality support in the workshop to enable the Group to meet standards in practical classes. Responsibilities include maintaining stock levels of tools and equipment, auditing the storeroom, and facilitating workshops that support teaching staff. Teamwork and strong communication within an inclusive environment are essential.
About You
If you are passionate about Bricklaying or Plastering and enjoy sharing knowledge, skills and experience, and you have enthusiasm for supporting apprentices, this is a great time to join the Group. To be successful at application stage it would be advantageous to have:
* A level 2 or 3 qualification in Bricklaying or Plastering, or equivalent experience as a qualified Bricklayer/Plasterer
* Level 2 literacy and numeracy (desirable)
* A relevant and current First Aid qualification (desirable)
* Fire Marshall trained or willing to undertake training (desirable)

All employees, including senior managers, are normally appointed to the minimum point of the pay grade. In some cases, higher pay points may be considered at the Director of HR & Performance’s discretion, based on salary, experience, or qualifications.
