We are looking for a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator to join our Health, Safety, Wellbeing & Quality Team. You'll be based on site at the Lower Thames Crossing project where we’re delivering preliminary works for the Kent Roads section — 6 km of new road, Europe’s widest green bridge, a public park and 12 miles of pathways.
This landmark project will pioneer low‑carbon construction techniques while creating local jobs, boosting skills and connecting communities across Kent and Essex via the UK’s longest road tunnel.
As the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator, you will:
1. Support HSW Lead, and the HSW Leadership Team (LT) in the delivery of month-end reporting, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with Skanska UK requirements.
2. Completion of Month End Skanska BU Reports and HSW Dashboards
3. Lead the induction process for the project and the highways passport
4. Creation and Management of various tracking and reporting spreadsheets to control completion and closure of immediate notifications and lessons learned bulletins resulting from incident investigations
5. Coordination of inspection and audit records including the updating of various spreadsheets / databases with this information
6. Production of trend analysis resulting from inspection and audit information and wider HS&W data
What you'll bring to the role:
7. Experience on managing up and down, with a particular emphasis on supporting leaders.
8. Level 3 academically recognised qualification or above (i.e. Diploma/Degree/NVQ) relating to health, safety and wellbeing.
9. In depth understanding of the principles of health, safety and wellbeing including a good understanding of effective management techniques.
10. Ability to influence others across a range of levels from the front-line workforce to Director level, both internally and externally.
11. Experience in the development and implementation of health, safety and wellbeing strategies.
