JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Manager will lead and oversee all aspects of customer order management, 3PL warehousing, and logistics operations, including managing global freight services for both B2B/D2C channels and inbound goods. This role ensures seamless order processing, compliance with international trade regulations, and efficient transportation across multiple modes of freight to cost budgets. The ideal candidate will combine strategic leadership with deep technical expertise in order management systems, import/export requirements, and global logistics optimisation.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Order Management
Oversee end-to-end order lifecycle for B2B and D2C channels, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
Manage a team of 6 Order Management Administrators
Implement and optimize Order Management Software (OMS) to streamline workflows and enhance visibility.
Enhance and maintain order fulfilment performance against KPIs and reporting tools to monitor order fulfilment.
Warehousing
Manage the relationship and performance of two 3rd Party Logistics providers based in Continental Europe.
Liaising with the UK group warehousing organisation to ensure optimal movement of goods.
Oversee the accuracy of stock movement and storage of goods and components
Logistics & Freight Services
Manage global freight operations across multi-modal transportation (air, ocean, road, rail).
Manager a team of 2 Logistics Coordinators.
Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PL partners.
Drive cost optimization and service-level improvements through strategic freight planning.
Logistics Compliance & Regulatory
Ensure adherence to import/export requirements, customs regulations, and trade compliance standards.
Maintain accurate documentation for international shipments and customs clearance.
Stay updated on global trade policies and proactively mitigate risks.
Continuous Improvement
Identify and lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to align logistics strategies with business goals.
Implement best practices for 3PL inventory management and order fulfilment.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications & Experience
5+ years of leadership experience in order management, warehousing, and logistics.
Proven experience in Order Management Systems usage.
Strong knowledge of international trade compliance, customs regulations, and documentation.
Expertise in multi-modal freight operations and global logistics networks.
Familiarity with B2B and D2C order processing workflows.
Advanced proficiency in ERP and OMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Dynamics NAV/365, etc.).
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
