The Role
We are seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a pivotal role supporting students across Key Stages 3–5. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive, productive environment.
• Delivering pre-prepared work and maintaining continuity of learning.
• Supporting students with varied needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
This role is not about being a “failed teacher”—it’s about bringing strong communication, quick-thinking, and resilience to guide learners and uphold high standards in the classroom.
