Job Purpose:
This role involves machining aircraft components based on engineering drawings, working on a rotating shift pattern (4 days on, 4 days off, days and nights).
Key Responsibilities:
* Loading and unloading machining fixtures
* Setting up Five Axis and Three Axis CNC Machines
* Using measuring equipment such as micrometers, Vernier gauges, plug gauges, screw gauges, and ring gauges
* Performing regular maintenance and cleaning of machines and tools
* Understanding CNC programming
* Interpreting drawings and geometric tolerances
* Experience with Fanuc controllers is beneficial
Experience:
* Prior CNC machining experience
* Experience working with ISO9001 or AS/EN9100 standards
* Experience in aerospace, defence, or automotive sectors
Qualifications:
* Time Served Apprenticeship (desired)
