Location
Hillingdon Granges – Yiewsley Grange (primarily based here with occasional support at other Grange sites).
Salary
Up to £53,200 FTE DOE plus a £5,000 Welcome Bonus (split into two payments of £2,500: one after the first month and one after the final probation period). Terms & conditions apply.
Hours & Contract
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am – 16.30pm. Permanent (term‑time only, or a flexible full‑time contract can be discussed).
Role Overview
Join our in‑house clinical team to deliver Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils with developmental trauma, neurodivergence or SEMH needs. You will work within the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working, maintaining a person‑centred, safeguarding‑focused approach and collaborating with the education team. You will hold a caseload, support staff training and consultation, and contribute to multidisciplinary practice.
Responsibilities
* Deliver bespoke assessments and interventions to students with complex and diverse communication profiles.
* Maintain a reliable caseload, following professional and governing body guidelines.
* Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate with educational staff.
* Provide staff training and consultation as required.
* Engage with families and carers to support student outcomes.
Essential Criteria
* Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
* HCPC registered.
* 1–2 years’ experience as a fully registered RCSLT member in a similar setting.
* Experience with complex communication profiles, neurodiversity and trauma‑informed practice.
* Knowledge of multisite multidisciplinary working.
* Strong relationship‑building, analytical and judgmental skills.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Good time‑management and organisational skills.
* Competency in core SaLT practice and clear understanding of RCSLT Communication Standards.
* Knowledge of SaLT assessment tools, intervention types and support‑plan formulation.
* Knowledge of legislation relevant to clinical practice and professional management.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Willingness to attend training and pursue further qualifications.
* ASD experience.
Desirable
* Understanding of sensory and motor differences impacting communication.
* Knowledge of the relationship between arousal levels and communication.
