Responsibilities
As a Retail Supervisor at The Old Bank Bookshop, you will assist the retail operations and ensure that they are a successful source of income generation whilst maintaining a good rapport with the wider retail team. Your main responsibilities will include:
* To support the Retail Manager with the day to day running of the shop.
* Meeting agreed financial targets.
* Maintaining effective stock management and merchandising.
* Managing and training volunteers.
* Carrying out shop administration.
* Ensuring adequate security.
* Following health and safety policy & procedures and giving training when needed.
* Implementing and ensuring the growth of our Gift Aid scheme.

Working Arrangements: This is a permanent, part-time role (7 hrs per week) and is based at Pilgrims Hospices The Old Bank Bookshop in Margate. Working day will vary but will be agreed in advance by line managers.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience working in a target-driven retail environment.
* Entrepreneurial and commercial mind.
* A good standard of numeracy and English.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, personable and able to relate to volunteers.

Salary: £4534.40 per annum
