About the Role
Cirrus Nexus UK is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architecture Tooling Lead for a high-profile financial services client. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on enterprise architecture platform administration, automation, optimisation, and knowledge transfer during a tooling transition. You will take ownership of the EA tooling environment, provide technical leadership, and work closely with client teams to build long-term capability and platform sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
* Administer, configure, and optimise enterprise architecture tooling platforms (e.g. BiZZdesign Enterprise Studio)
* Manage platform environments (production, test, development), deployments, and server configurations
* Perform upgrades, patching, and version control in line with change management processes
* Configure metamodels, element types, relationships, and properties aligned with ArchiMate standards
* Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimisation improvements
Automation & Reporting
* Design and develop automation scripts using platform APIs and scripting languages
* Create custom viewpoints, dashboards, and reporting solutions
* Build automated reporting workflows, including strategic extracts and PowerPoint generation
* Maintain version control, testing, and documentation for automation assets
Knowledge Transfer & Stakeholder Engagement
* Act as the technical SME for EA tooling capabilities
* Deliver structured knowledge transfer and mentoring to client teams
* Collaborate with enterprise architects, application teams, and business stakeholders
* Liaise with tooling vendors and manage technical escalations when required
Documentation & Knowledge Management
* Produce and maintain technical documentation, configuration guides, and operating procedures
* Create training materials, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides
* Establish documentation standards and reusable templates
Technical Skills
* Strong experience with enterprise architecture tools (BiZZdesign Enterprise Studio or similar: Sparx EA, MEGA HOPEX, Ardoq, LeanIX)
* Solid knowledge of EA frameworks and standards (ArchiMate, TOGAF, Zachman)
* Experience with API integrations, data mapping, and transformations
* Understanding of authentication mechanisms (SSO, Active Directory, LDAP)
* Platform administration experience (client-server architecture, environments, versioning)
Professional Experience
* 5+ years’ experience in EA tooling, platform administration, or related technical roles
* Proven experience delivering automation, custom integrations, or platform transitions
* Experience working in financial services or regulated environments (preferred)
* Consulting experience with client-facing delivery and knowledge transfer
* Hands-on experience with BiZZdesign Enterprise Studio and Horizzon Server
* BiZZdesign, ArchiMate, or TOGAF certifications
* Experience with Planview or enterprise portfolio management tools
* Exposure to OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, DevOps, CI/CD, or infrastructure as code
