Due to continued growth, the team is now seeking an experienced CDM Advisor/ Principal Designer to join the business. This is a key appointment, playing an integral role in delivering Principal Designer and CDM advisory services across a varied project portfolio. In this position, you will work closely with clients, designers, contractors, and wider project teams to ensure compliance with the CDM Regulations 2015 and industry best practice. You will help embed effective health & safety risk management at the earliest stages of design, providing clear, pragmatic advice and supporting projects throughout the full lifecycle of capital works. Responsibilities: Act as a Principal Designer under CDM 2015, leading design risk management and coordination across duty holders. Carry out site inspections and risk assessments. Ensure that projects meet H&S and CDM 2015 compliance. Compile pre-construction information packs, construction phase plans. Oversee design risk registers and attend design risk reviews/ team meetings. Liaise with the site teams to ensure they are aware of risks/ dangers and put in place measures to rectify. Ensure RAMS are in place and updated on a regular basis. Further build existing client relationships and develop new ones. Liaise with various stakeholders (architects, contractors, developers, designers, client) and keep them informed of changes regarding safety. Requirements: NEBOSH Construction Certificate/ NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent. Temporary Works Coordinator (desirable). Good understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations. Proven background in design risk management and coordination of complex projects Membership to IOSH or APS is a bonus. Previous experience carrying out site inspections and risk assessments. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client and project team relationships. Full UK driving license.
