A friendly and inclusive primary school in Bracknell is seeking a skilled and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced support professional who is passionate about enhancing children’s learning and development across the primary age range.
About the Role:
As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning throughout the school. You will work closely with class teachers to deliver high-quality support, lead small group interventions, and occasionally cover whole classes in the absence of the teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver planned lessons and learning activities across the primary curriculum
Provide high-quality support to individuals and small groups of pupils
Cover classes when required, ensuring continuity of learning
Support pupils with a range of abilities, including those with additional needs
Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities
Contribute to maintaining a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Essential Requirements:
HLTA Status (Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification) – this is essential
Proven experience working within a primary school setting
Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good behaviour management skills
Desirable:
Experience supporting pupils with SEND
Additional relevant qualifications or training in education
