Accounts Technician / Assistant Accountant Craigavon (BT67) Salary c.£28K - £30K DOE We are pleased to be working on behalf of one of Irelands Leading Distribution firms who have an immediate need for an experienced Accounts Technician / Assistant Accountant to join their join their accounts team. Key responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts. Monthly accruals & prepayments. Processing of sales and purchase invoices as required. Supplier payments, bank reconciliations, expenses and credit card postings. Balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany transactions and journal postings. Preparation of VAT, intrastat and EC sales returns as well as other statistical and statutory. Returns. Support in the preparation of year end statutory accounts and audit including ad hoc analysis. Other ad hoc financial duties as required. Essential eligibility criteria: Recent experience in a fast-paced commercial accounting role Qualified Accounts Technician / Part Qualified Accountant Experience of preparing management accounts Experience of a multi-company, multi-currency finance environment Experience in accounts packages (Sage) Excellent Excel skills (vlookups, sumif, pivot tables etc) Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Good numeracy aptitude and keen eye for detail Time management and working towards tight deadlines Ability to work effectively both alone and in a team environment Applications for this role will be considered immediately with a view to placing the right individual ASAP, so please register your interest early.
