The Role
* Shape a Unified DDaT Function: Lead the creation of a new, cohesive digital, data, and technology function that spans transport, fire and rescue, and the core GMCA organization. Develop a strategy and delivery roadmap that ensures modern, people-centered, and resilient services.
* Drive Transformation: Spearhead digital, data, and technology-enabled transformation to enhance outcomes across the Bee Network, Fire, and the wider Combined Authority. Develop a suite of digital products and services that support our mission-critical 24/7 services.
* Build Data and Insight Capabilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to create a unified data and insight capability that strengthens evidence-based decision-making, unlocks performance improvements, and supports long-term planning.
* Foster Collaboration: Cultivate deep relationships with senior leaders, elected members, and colleagues across GMCA, TfGM, and GMFRS. Co-design digital solutions with frontline teams, ensuring customer needs and place-based priorities guide service improvements.
The Candidate
* Experienced Leader: You are an influential digital, data, and technology leader with a proven track record in complex, federated environments. You excel in shaping and delivering digital and data strategies, leading large-scale change, and embedding contemporary digital practices.
* Skilled Communicator: You possess a deep understanding of complex digital operations and modern service management, coupled with cyber, financial, and commercial acumen. Your ability to simplify complexity and build trust will enable you to influence effectively across diverse stakeholders.
