Purpose of the role
Reporting to the Head of IT, this role assists with the development and maintenance of IT applications for Phoebe Philo Ltd, ensuring that the applications are user-friendly, effective, cost-efficient, secure, and compliant.
Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with all departments to understand their requirements and implement supporting technology, including:
2. Optimize front-end ecommerce stack with the digital team to ensure resilience, security, and compliance.
3. Enhance Airtable solutions supporting the company's design and development processes.
4. Work with finance to optimize accounting, reporting, online payments, VAT, and payroll systems.
5. Coordinate with logistics to improve carrier management, shipping labels, and returns handling systems.
6. Collaborate with sustainability and production teams to track sustainability data.
7. Ensure system integrations, including middleware, are optimized, resilient, secure, and compliant.
8. Manage relationships with partners and contractors to support technology requirements.
9. Provide guidance and training across teams to optimize system usage.
10. Maintain operational reliability, security, and compliance of technology services following industry standards.
11. Ensure all processes comply with relevant laws, such as GDPR.
12. Drive collaboration for smooth technology rollouts.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
1. Degree in Computer Science or demonstrable experience.
2. 3-5 years’ experience in fashion technology roles, especially in e-commerce and product development, preferably in luxury fashion.
3. Experience in start-up/scale-up environments, demonstrating capability to evolve technology stacks during growth stages.
4. Knowledge of current and emerging technologies, application development, and relevant suppliers/partners.
5. Experience with systems like Shopify, Hubspot, Avalara, Global-E, JOOR, Brightpearl, Airtable, Microsoft Business Central, Concur, and SDI.
6. Ability to lead technology projects aligned with business objectives.
7. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
8. Leadership and interpersonal skills to build trust and credibility.
