Job Responsibilities:
Fixed Term: 12 months | 18 hrs per week
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our Special Schools team in Sheffield on a 12-month contract. You will provide high-quality occupational therapy care to children with various conditions across school and community settings. Your role involves working with two schools, contributing to both school life and therapy sessions, making a positive impact on children and their families.
About You:
* You have advanced knowledge in managing children with physical, sensory, and developmental challenges.
* You are keen to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.
* You possess strong communication skills and enjoy supporting children and staff to reach their full potential.
* You hold a BSc in Occupational Therapy or Dip COT.
* You are HCPC registered.
* You have relevant postgraduate courses/CPD.

Responsibilities include:
1. Providing specialised assessment, treatment, and management for children with chronic and complex learning difficulties and physical disabilities.
2. Serving as an expert resource, managing children with physical, sensory, and developmental issues in school and community settings.
3. Offering specialist advice to inter-agency professional staff and delivering clinical education to staff and students.
4. Leading in managing complex cases within a multidisciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner.
