We are working with a not-for-profit organisation based in Southampton seeking a Finance Manager to join their team. This newly created role offers an excellent opportunity to shape financial processes and support organisational growth. The salary is up to £50,000.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain comprehensive accounting records across multiple projects and accounts.
* Prepare detailed internal and external budgets for new projects in collaboration with the bid writing team.
* Conduct regular budget reviews and variance analysis.
* Manage cash flow forecasting and reporting.
* Identify and address potential budget over/underspends.
* Analyse financial risks and variances, recommending practical solutions.
* Revise budgets considering multiple scenarios and external factors.
* Process purchase and sales invoices, bank charges, and reconciliations.
* Prepare and post journal entries.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns.
What They're Looking For
* Proven experience in financial management and reporting.
* Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy under pressure.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong organisational abilities with capacity to work independently.
