Role Summary Reporting to the Head of Business Operations – Digital Solutions. This high-profile role will be critical in helping develop and implement the strategy of RES Digital Solutions, developing evidence-based arguments and translating these into a high quality and concise dialogue and presentations. This position will work with RES Digital Solutions Leadership and Senior Management team across the global business to provide insight, market intelligence, and understanding on the market, M&A and commercial business cases. The candidate should be able to demonstrate a sound ability to understand and breakdown problems, to identify potential solutions, to develop a clear plan to implement solutions, and to present these in a clear and concise manner to senior leaders. Key Accountabilities Strategy and Initiatives, Planning and Execution:
1. Support the Head of Business Operations in developing and driving strategy, critical initiatives and programs that span across the global organisation
2. Develop compelling arguments, translating these into a high-quality dialogue with the business and presentations for a Senior Executive audience
3. Provide leadership with an independent, integrated perspective of the internal and external marketplace of topics or projects you are responsible for, facilitating informed challenge and discussions
4. Ensure competitive strategy is at the heart of RES by implementing world-class standards for rigorous planning and sound decision-making
5. Coordinate research and analysis for key projects, including, but not limited to, M&A Due Diligence, competitor / customer analysis, market trends, and technology portfolio optimisation
Foundational Commercial Expertise:
6. Ensure business cases for new products and services are consistent, accurate, and decisions on investment are made on the best information via a co-ordinated set of metrics, assumptions, and outputs
7. Support the sales and marketing team in analysing pricing and bid data to validate pricing strategies
8. Support the R&D team in analysing grants and funding opportunities
9. Support in procurement processes and supplier cost management
Project Support:
10. Support in the progression of complex projects with varied timescales
11. Promote operational excellence: identify and drive opportunities to optimise our organisational systems, data collection and processes with a focus on agility through implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning System
Communications, Collaboration and Campaigns:
12. Use exceptional business and communication skills to translate vision into action
13. Monitor and track global news-flow around RES’s markets and competitors, drawing insights from trends, to ensure senior executives are informed of emerging opportunities and threats and those individuals that interact with our key customers have the information they need to deepen relationships.
14. Support in raising awareness of RES Digital Solutions products and services

15. Strong, relevant experience in strategy, consulting, commercial or analyst roles
16. Consistent record of delivering results
17. Experience in working closely with and presenting to senior leadership
18. Relevant sector experience in energy and renewable energy sectors or a demonstrable foundational knowledge of these sectors
19. Experience of reporting in a highly professional environment
