Are you a supportive and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant looking for flexible opportunities in primary schools across Bournemouth and nearby areas? We’re recruiting dedicated individuals to work in a variety of school settings, providing essential support to pupils with special educational needs.
Role Overview:
This role involves working closely with primary school children who may have additional needs such as Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties. You may be providing one-to-one support, working with small groups, or assisting the class teacher in delivering inclusive learning.
Key Duties:
Supporting pupils with SEN to access the primary curriculum
Helping to implement EHCPs and tailored learning plans
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Assisting with classroom activities and organisation
Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Experience supporting children with SEN in primary school settings (formal or informal)
Patient, calm, and resilient approach to behaviour and communication
Confident working independently and as part of a team
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 TA, CACHE, or similar) are a bonus but not essential
Willingness to work flexibly across different primary age groups and school settings
