Temporary Accounts Assistant - Cambridge
£15-£17 per hour + holiday pay
Immediate start | 3-month contract (with potential extension)
Robert Half are working with a well-established organisation in Cambridge who are looking to bring in a Temporary Accounts Assistant to support the finance function during a period of team absence.
This role is key to keeping day-to-day workflows running smoothly and would suit someone who enjoys a busy, hands-on bookkeeping position with scope to take on additional responsibilities depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manual data entry and data keying with a high level of accuracy
* Cash book postings
* Processing general journals
* Checking and supporting BACS payment runs
* Ensuring financial workflows do not build up during the contract period
* Working across two finance systems (including Lightyear)
About You:
* Previous bookkeeping or finance administration experience is essential
* Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail
* Comfortable managing a consistently busy workload
* Confident working across multiple systems
* Reliable, organised, and happy to work independently as required
Working Arrangements:
* Ideally part-time, spread across the week (daily hours preferred)
* Full-time hours can be accommodated if desired
* Flexible working hours - can fit around existing commitments such as school runs
* On-site role in Cambridge
